    Wells River Vermont here! Saw your weblog and just had to stop in and say hi to a neighbor!

    So howdy neighbor!

    Poor photos? Great work. What a scary sight. Too many structure fires in Vermont and we are very worried about this winter. People are going to be burning anything this winter and too many people are already hurt in fires. Thanks for stopping by! (Two more cords were delivered tonight . . . we’re using oil and wood so hopefully that is all we need but we’ll see).

    @Andree:

    There sure are too many fires. Unfortunately burning wood is so much more affordable than anything else. I’m hoping to use wood for about 90% of my heating this year, and oil will be the back up incase I’m not home for an extended period.

    Proper burning and regular inspections are very important when using wood as fuel.

    This fire was actually a “second home” but it was a garage full of firewood that helped it burn so fast and hot.
